In the Company’s 400th Anniversary Year there were three competitions in the open turning category. These are open to any turner resident in Great Britain . |

The first one is The Master’s Competition. This competition is for a Turned Egg, held in honour of Honorary Liveryman Theo Fabergé, for which prizes of £1,500, £1,250, £1,000 and £ 500 are awarded. Winning entry by Paul Coker Egg on a pedestal with applied decorations 9” x 5” sycamore |

The second is The Felix Levy This competition is held in honour of the late Felix Levy, a Past Master of the Company and a great patron of the craft of turning. The third is The 400th Anniversary Open Competition for a set of 4 lidded boxes. These must not be identical but have a common theme (e.g. 4 shapes, or 4 colours or 4 related objects). Prizes of £200, £150, £100 and, for exceptional entries, a runner-up prize of £50 are awarded. Winning entry by John Edwards “Sunrising” 4 signet ring boxes each
