Civic Calendar

Twice a year, members of the Livery are bidden to attend Common Hall in Guildhall, at Midsummer to elect the new Sheriffs and at Michaelmas to elect the new Lord Mayor.

Usually, Turners who have attended Common Hall foregather for lunch afterwards At Easter every year a great gathering of the Liveries, headed by the Lord Mayor, Sheriffs, Aldermen and Livery Company Masters, assembles in St. Paul's Cathedral for the United Guilds Service, a most moving and colourful occasion.
