The Register of Professional Turners has for several years been invited to hold their Annual General Meeting and Craft Meeting at Apothecaries' Hall, when the Master and members of the Court are invited as guests. The Craft Meeting is a seminar for discussing subjects of common interest, such as methods of display and sale of turned
goods, and ways in which the Company can promote the well-being of the craft.
The
Register of Professional Turners (RPT) was a notable outcome from early Craft Meetings organised by the Company. The Register, established in 1984, is composed of turners who
offer a professional service to the public. Craftsmen who have demonstrated their high standards of design, execution
and finish, to one of the assessors appointed by the Company, are eligible for inclusion in the Register. Turners
who are accepted onto the Register are awarded a certificate and are permitted to use the letters "RPT" after their names
on business cards, letterheads and the like. They are entitled to use the Register logo and may also refer to the
connection between the RPT and the Worshipful Company of Turners.
A full list of the professional tuners on the register is accessible on the RPT website through
